Light Stone
When I was thinking about what I would call my Coaching business, I knew it needed to be me and I knew that I would know it when I heard it. I reached out to a Coaching colleague and she was happy to oblige - I needed space and time to figure out what I wanted.
My Coaching mission is to be the light that illuminates the brilliance of others so it felt right to have "Light" in the name - that one was easy.
My Mum's name was Beryl.
Definition of beryl: a mineral consisting of a silicate of beryllium and aluminum of great hardness that occurs in colorless hexagonal prisms when pure and in various colors (such as green, blue, yellow, or pink) when not pure, that is valued as a source of gems. Stone is durable and long-lasting. Beryl is a stone.

My Mum was tough and brilliant, colourful and kind.
When I was asked fantastic questions and given space to answer them - it became clear (pun intended) that Light Stone was the perfect mix of - authentic, meaningful and professional.
The final checkbox happened when I told my husband my new company name. His response made me smile, "I could put that invoice in front of our CEO." Exactly what I was looking for - professional, personal and completely me.
I love what I do and I have seen what coaching can do to create clarity, confidence and direction. The energy that I bring to Coaching allows other people to understand my profound desire to hold space for them and my belief that they have ‘got this’. While I take Coaching very seriously, I DO NOT take myself too seriously - I am cheeky and irreverent and I bring that with me always, but I also show up with respect, non-judgement and love. My goal for coaching is to create an environment in which you are safe but not comfortable - I believe you only grow at the edges of your comfort zone. I create a space where you are completely free to be yourself and do the work you need to do to move forward.
